Frey was one of the most important Viking gods, who ruled over the rain and the shining of the sun, and therefore the fruit of the earth. He was fair of face and mighty, but unlike the other gods Thor and Odin whose strength was associated with thunder and war; Frey was called upon for good health, vigour, prosperity and peace.

Frey’s temple stood in Uppsala, Sweden where he is seen as an ancestor to the Swedish Royal House.

One of the most extensive of Frey’s stories tells of his love for the giantess Gerðr. Out of love Frey offers away his magic sword which fights on its own for Gerðr’s hand in marriage. During Ragnarök (the final battle at the end of time), Frey battles the enemy frost giants with an antler as he is deprived of his magic sword.

This is why we have adopted the stag's antlers as our symbol. Frey and the stag are known for their strength and virtuosity, the traits we try to pass on to our members. Frey fought to the end of Ragnarök, our members fight bravely to the end of every workout.
